What is an industrial pH meter
What is an industrial pH meter? PH meter, also known as acidity meter, industrial pH meter is an online pH meter in China; The customary term for online analytical instruments is referred to as industrial analytical instruments in relevant Chinese standards, in order to distinguish them from laboratory analytical instruments< br />
The pH meter is an instrument that measures the pH value of normal solution by potentiometric method. The potentiometric method is to measure the electric potential difference between two electrodes under the condition of zero current, that is, the electromotive force of the battery. Its working principle can be described by Nernst equation< br />
The industrial pH meter consists of a sensor (also called a transmitter) and a converter (also called a transmitter). The signal potential is transmitted by a special low-noise coaxial shielded cable. There are also industrial pH meter products with sensor and converter integrated structure< br />
The sensor is composed of indicator electrode and reference electrode. When the measured solution flows through the sensor, the two electrodes and the measured solution form a chemical primary cell, and a potential difference is generated between the two electrodes. The magnitude of the potential difference is logarithmic to the pH value of the measured solution, which converts the pH value of the measured solution into an electrical signal. Since this potential difference is affected by the temperature of the measured solution, a temperature detection element must also be installed on the general industrial pH meter so that the converter can compensate the temperature of the measurement results< br />
The converter consists of electronic components, which amplify the potential signal detected by the sensor, process it, display the measurement results, and convert it into a standard signal output< br />
