4. High energy consumption and soft low-speed mechanical characteristics. Because the decrease in speed is achieved by consuming energy through the external resistance of the rotor, and the lower the speed, the softer the mechanical characteristics, and the greater the proportion of energy consumed in the resistance, which is extremely uneconomical. Moreover, the high or low voltage of the power grid has a significant impact on speed.
